i was running through Frick Park in Pittsburgh during a year of learning how to long-distance run (i was never very good at it, but i got lots of face time with woods in), and the line "everything is elevated in a room with you" hit me. i was deep inside my brain for that bugger to fall out the bottom of the flour sifter. without looking, i slid the top of my LG Chocolate 2 back and typed the line in a text to myself and went home to write the song. this was 2017. the words in this one are still some of my favorite lyrics and they can give me chills to this day when i really sit back in them.
